FOUNDER’s DESK

Hi! I am Pratima Gracias, founder of Birthday-In-a- Box.

Becoming a Graphic Artist felt a natural progression post academics, as I always loved designing and creating from ideas. Sir J J Institute of Applied Arts in Mumbai, channelised those ideas and shaped execution and communication. A more than decade old career in the same field always brought challenges and adrenaline to create more.

But nothing beat the challenge of being a mother and cater to the fancy of a growing child’s imagination and fantasy year after year for his special day. When I couldn’t find any party supplies based on the unusual themes my son would pop up, I began making them myself; much to the amusement of everyone who would attend our little home parties (that I enjoy doing the most since they are so personal).

I know there are many moms out there who want to look beyond the abundance of common party supplies and add a personal and bespoke touch to their soirees. Worry not ladies, I am just a holler away.
